GPIO Breakout

So, I've got my Monster Borg running around with an xbox360 controller and a whole load of c (sorry not a Python person). Now I need to turn my attention to some mechanics. I need to get at the Pi GPIO connector to add a lot of things, but it's hidden in the Thunder Borg/Pi sandwich atm. Has anyone come up with a nice solution. My solution atm is to mount the batteries underneath , extend the power connector and mount the pi/thunder on the top. Then add larger pillars between the two, but I would need to extend the power/i2c bit of the expansion connector to reach the Thunder Borg.

2.4Ghz Remote Control For Raspberry Pi ThunderBorg Robot

Hi;

What is the easiest solutuon for using a 2.4Ghz Radio Transmitter and Receiver (As used for model planes / Helos / Drones / QuadCopters etc) to control a Raspberry Pi robot fitted with a ThunderBorg Motor Driver Board.

TVM

Is there a Python3 version of ThunderBorg.py?

I saw there is a Python3 version of Ultraborg, do we have a similar one for ThunderBorg? I tried changing the Ultraborg libraries' URL but didn't quite work ;-).

Cheers,

Thunderborg Autonomous

I am trying to set up autonomous driving while using a Thunderborg. How would I call the motors to the code while using thunderborg. I figured I would have to import thunderborg and then call SetMotors. Just confused and was wondering if anyone could help me out. Thanks!!

Monsterborg does not spin correctly

I got a new monsterborg and assembled everything as described.
Everything worked fine! Congratulations, good description.
And started with the monsterSequence and also that worked fine for
the first time ..but then spinning started to make problems, no 360°,
not reproducible.
I assumed the wheels slipped, but not the problem.
I checked the contacts on the Thunderborg, correct.
I ran the test program and realized that the right motors went back
to the starting position after the complete sequence, but the left motors
didn't!

Remote Control Options

Hi;

Sanity check and advice please.

For remote control we are currently using a Pi Hut 2.4Ghz Wireless Game Controller.
We have a couple of issues with this method:

(a). Every so often, normally at crucial moments' the connection seems to get lost and either the Robot crashes or stops and cannot be moved, the controller flashes whilst it is trying to get a new connection and the all of a sudden we have control again.

Ultrasonic Sensors

How could I connect ultrasonic sensors to a Raspberry Pi without using a resistor?

Powering Raspberry Pi separately?

Hello,

I just received my Diddyborg v2 in the mail and I'm very excited to start building it. I'm planning on connecting a LIDAR sensor to the Pi 3 via USB that draws ~450mA, and have been concerned that the ThunderBorg will have trouble powering the Pi, Motors, and sensor at the same time. Even if it is capable of handling it, I may want to use wall power instead of battery power for the Pi while i'm doing development on it (but still have operational motors).

raspberry pi does not boot when connected to new Thunderbird

i installed the thunderborg, every thing was working fine, then first the LED on the thunderborg quit working soon followed by the raspberry pi not booting. is there anything I can do to solve these problems?

Which GPS module is best?

Can anyone recommend a GPS module that fits on the MonsterBorg and works well?
